Year Of Joy

Because the world needs more joy.

Every child deserves to experience joy. Unfortunately, too many children are burdened by generational poverty, crime and other societal issues that they never have the experience of the joys of childhood.

The Year of Joy was founded with the mission to provide joyful educational, cultural and confidence-building experiences for children from Houston's underserved communities.

Since December 2016, more than 1,000 area children, ages 5 through 16 have experienced joyful events through the Year of Joy, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Year of Joy is a registered trademark. (Photo credit; Houston Chronicle)
